On April 17, the main channel bridge of the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Road-Rail Bridge, the world's largest span three-tower cable-stayed bridge, officially completed its closure. The three main towers of the bridge are all over 300 meters tall, with the tallest central tower reaching 345.6 meters—equivalent to the height of a 115-story building.

This bridge is a key project for the Chaohu-Ma'anshan Intercity Railway. The upper deck of the bridge is a dual-direction, six-lane urban expressway designed for speeds of up to 80 km/h. The lower deck accommodates four railway tracks: two intercity railway tracks with a speed of 250 km/h, and two reserved railway tracks for speeds of 200 km/h.

With the closure of the main bridge, construction will proceed to the auxiliary engineering and deck paving stages. Once completed, the project will create a rapid new transport corridor across the Yangtze River, further shortening the distance between the Hefei and Nanjing metropolitan areas, and contributing to the development of the Railway network in the Yangtze River Delta.
